One of the greatest compliments we receive from families is when they tell us how comforting it is to see the same familiar faces of our teaching and administrative team year after year.
After 20 years of partnering with families in Bend, Oregon, we’ve learned that one of the most important investments we can make isn’t just in our classrooms, it’s in our teachers and administrative team.
Young children thrive when they build trusting relationships with consistent and caring adults. That’s why we’ve worked hard to create a workplace where teachers feel valued, supported and appreciated. While no workplace is perfect, we’ve always believed that when we care well for our team, they’re able to care well for the children in our classrooms. We adopted a growth mindset from the beginning and continue to learn and grow every year.
Our current team has been part of the School of Enrichment family anywhere from two to twenty years, something we’re incredibly grateful for. We prioritize working within our zone of genius, teaching authentically, offering competitive compensation packages with paid time off, health insurance and most importantly, a culture that encourages balance and self care. Just as importantly, we’ve worked to create an environment where people feel respected, encouraged and connected.
Many of our teachers have told us that School of Enrichment feels like a second family. Teachers recommend our school to their family for preschool and when we’re hiring. We don’t take that lightly.
We believe children benefit when they see the same trusted adults greeting them each morning, celebrating their milestones and supporting them through challenges. Those lasting relationships help children feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
Happy teachers create nurturing classrooms. Nurturing classrooms help children flourish. And when families have a positive experience, they naturally share it with friends and neighbors. For nearly two decades, our school has grown largely through word of mouth, and we consider that one of our greatest honors. We often reference this cycle as the big circle of trust.
As we prepare to add another classroom this coming school year, we’re excited to welcome one more exceptional educator to our team. Growth is exciting, but our commitment remains the same: to create a place where children, families and teachers all feel supported and valued.
Thank you to every family who has trusted us with your children over the years and to every teacher who has helped make School of Enrichment what it is today. We couldn’t do it without you. We feel the trust of our community when teachers enroll their own students, parents return to School of Enrichment with a younger sibling or share their experiences with their community. We cannot tell you how many times an incoming family says, “I met a wonderful family at the park and they raved about School of Enrichment!” There is no greater compliment!
