Sage Reed Henderson, BS

Teacher

Sage transferred from Oregon State University to OSU-Cascades when she moved to Bend with her husband in 2013. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Human Development and Family Sciences with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development and Education. She spends her free time hiking, kayaking, camping, and traveling.

In high school, Sage was a varsity sprinter on her track team, a member of the thespian society, and was an avid multicultural dancer. She also took a particular interest in Psychology and upon graduating high school, chose the subject as her major. Sage put herself through college buy working in retail, cooking in local restaurants, and even became a research assistant working with foster children.

During Sages last year at OSU, Sage decided to study for a second degree in Early Childhood Development and Education while waiting for her final psychology courses to be offered again. Those classes presented the opportunity to get hands on experience working with children and she immediately fell in love with the idea of becoming an educator.

Her Early Childhood Education internship brought her to School of Enrichment which quickly lead to an undeniable organic connection between Sage and her students. She truly wants to see them succeed and we see this daily in her role as a dedicated teacher. Sage continuously brings fresh knowledge and new ideas to our school family.
